Healthy Life = Happy Life

I don't know about you all, but the mornings I get up and do an exercise or something I feel 10x better then attempting to get an extra 5 minutes of sleep. Whether it is going for a walk, doing some stretches, yoga, anything. Buy getting up and moving your wakening your mind and body and your making the first healthy decision of the day. My body feels better after doing some sort of exercise and my mind is clear and not as uptight as it would be if I didn't do a work out. I also like to put 2-3 drops of: breathe, peppermint, wild orange, grapefruit (choose 1) in the shower, on the floor. The steam allows the oil to transfer up and almost feels like a sauna, this really gets me awake and energized as well as emotionally ready for the day. I am a firm believer that if you are living healthy, (everyone has their own term of healthy so you use yours) then you will be a happy and healthier person. I have noticed a huge difference in parenting as well if I get up and do something. I think some days we don't take a little ME time and get bogged down and eventually snap at: kids, husband, pets, etc. By starting my day with a little exercise and reading from the scriptures whether it be the Book of Mormon or the Bible, I know I'm ready to face the day. By starting the day off with a little exercise, you will be surprised at the healthier decisions you make in meal planning and activities throughout the day. Don't forget to drink water!!! I have made it a goal to drink a gallon a day, so I have a little piece of paper where I fill my water up and mark off where I'm at each time throughout the day. It may seem hard at first to drink a lot of water, but your body will be thanking you. Also, instead of your morning espresso, or cappuccino, why not try some herbal tea, with honey if you need a little sweetness. And then breathe in some essential oils, this is a great alternative to caffeine!!!  I love diffusing some oils in the air around noon time and just breathing them in, kind of a mid day pick me up. At the end of the day, we are the only one's that control our happiness, our choices, and our mood. Choose to have a great day, choose to not let certain things bug you, choose to relax, choose to let it go, choose to be you and love who you are!!!!
