Laughter

The other day, wow what a day! We got a call that our cow was running down the road :P; Oldest son says, “mom someone’s cow is out” No one else has a cow, it’s ours! After said cow is put in, someone accidentally cuts their arm with tile pieces. Then when the dishwasher is pulled out, the water main shut off didn’t work and water goes everywhere, the oven door gets shattered, and the tip of the ice berg, if you aren’t already dying laughing, the cat plays in someone’s un flushed poopy toilet :D! By now I imagine that you are rolling! Sometimes, it is hard to remember to laugh, it is, “easier” to get mad/ angry and loose our cool. But as Marjorie Hinckley’s said, “The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh or cry. I prefer to laugh. Crying gives me a headache”. Research has even shown that laughter is the best medicine. Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, as well as releases endorphins. So, how long has it been since you laughed? Proverbs 17:22, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine” Coming from someone who has been trying to “laugh” more, not only does it make you feel better, but how many things in life are truly worth getting that upset about? In the “rear view mirror” often, the majority of the things that we get flustered about, were not going to remember and why not make it better by laughing instead of getting bent out of shape. So, try to laugh more, whether it be a toddler drawing on walls, a car not starting, finding tractors in your washer, or even a cat playing in a toilet :P make the choice to laugh. Plus, laughter is said to be contagious :)
