Do you find yourself running constantly? Whether it be: school, work, kids, activities, etc. Do you find joy in what you do? I was watching my kids the other day and suddenly it hit me.. I need to stop and enjoy. We get so caught up in multi tasking, checking social media, trying to do multiple things at one time and we are missing out on many of life’s most precious and tender moments. Whether it be: seeing our children and how wonderful they are; enjoying a nice day outside with the beautiful creations that God has given us; enjoying time with the love of ones life even though it might be in a hospital or care center; having a nice customer at the store or restaurant. I believe that God helps us each and every day and He is willing to lift us higher then we could ever imagine, but we have to be able to listen, to truly stop and admire how and what He has given us. Take time, admire those around you, ask God how you can help someone else today. It always amazes me how sometimes the littlest compliment to someone makes their entire day great! If one is walking by someone and thinks wow, her glasses are beautiful, or or hair is styled awesome, or WOW he is doing a great job with kids, whatever it might be, open your mouth! Let it out, let the compliment lift someone up, you never know who could truly be needing it that day. Marjorie Hinckley said, “The trick is to enjoy life. Don’t wish away your days, waiting for better ones ahead”. What is truly important to you and your family, is it fame? Fortune? Love? Believing in God? Family? Whatever it might be, make a choice to put it first. Enjoy the journey, whether you are bogged down with little kids, ripping your hair out with teenagers, dreading work every day, dreading the day when your beloved spouse finally takes their last breath; Enjoy the NOW, enjoy today. Maybe you hug that ungrateful teenager longer then normal, text someone that’s been on your mind, acknowledge someone at work for helping you, or holding that baby a little longer, take time to listen, take time to act. God is always there but we have to be willing to listen. He has blessed each and every one of us with so much.
